This Privacy Policy describes how Nobody's Watching (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”), operating at nobodyswatching.app, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information in connection with your use of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information. If you sign in using X (formerly Twitter), we receive your X handle, display name, and profile image through X's authentication process. We do not receive or store your X password or other credentials.
Session and technical information. Whether or not you are signed in, we assign a session identifier and retain a cryptographically hashed representation of your IP address. This information is used solely to enforce rate limits and to prevent abuse of the Service, and is not used to identify you personally or to build a behavioral profile.
Content you submit. If you purchase the advertising slot, we collect and store the title, tagline, description, category, logo, and link you provide for display on the Service. If you submit a price prediction, we record that prediction in association with your session or account.
Payment information. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect, transmit, or store payment card numbers, expiration dates, or security codes. We receive only confirmation that a payment has been completed, together with the email address you provide to Stripe for receipt purposes. Stripe's collection and use of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to operate the Service, including determining the current price of the advertising slot, recording purchases and predictions, enforcing rate limits to prevent abuse, and processing payments through Stripe. We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes unrelated to the Service.
3. Public disclosure of content
The Service is designed to publicly display the content submitted by the purchaser of each cycle's advertising slot, including title, tagline, logo, and link, for the duration of that cycle. This content, together with the purchaser's identifying information where applicable, is subsequently retained in the public archive as a permanent historical record. You should not submit information as a purchaser that you do not wish to be permanently and publicly disclosed.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We disclose information only to the third-party service providers necessary to operate the Service, namely Stripe, Inc. (payment processing) and X Corp. (authentication), each of which processes information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
5. Cookies
The Service uses a single first-party cookie to maintain your session between visits. This cookie enables predictions and purchases to be associated with your session and is not used for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
6. Data retention
Session and rate-limiting information is retained only as long as necessary to enforce the limits described above. Purchase and prediction records, together with associated public listing content, are retained indefinitely as part of the Service's historical archive.
7. Your rights and contact information
Signing out of the Service disassociates your X-linked identity from your current session. Please note that public listing content associated with a completed purchase forms part of the Service's historical record and is generally not removed once a cycle has concluded.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service following any such change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
